Dad’s birthday is right around the corner, but I’m running a little low on cash at the moment.
So I sat down in my Bumbo, which is where I do most of my serious thinking.
I decided the best gift I could give would be to remind him that it doesn’t matter how old someone is, we are all continuously growing and changing.
For example, byebye bassinet and swing.
And with that - I rolled onto my belly!
Now, I admit, dad is approaching 28 years-old and his formidable years are clearly located in the rear-view mirror. However, I really think this cheered him up! It was right before the Bears opening-season win, so all-in-all it was a great weekend.
Sandra and me watching the game. Stay tuned for Sunday's match up-Saints vs Bears or Mommy vs. Daddy.

And so do I!
I have no idea why he chooses to fly off to New York when clearly all the action is happening right here in Chicago! My new found ability to roll is an important developmental step, and it comes with a new set of benefits and challenges. For example, I have already vowed to never sleep on my back – EVER AGAIN! The moment somebody lays me down in the crib, I flip over to my stomach where I can finally sleep comfortably!
Mom and Dad finally gave up after putting me on my back several times and then rolling seconds later.
I am sleeping longer hours, which is great for everybody. However, mom and dad are still concerned about me sleeping on my stomach, so they aren’t getting as much sleep as they would otherwise. I think mom came in to double-check that I was still breathing at least five different times during the night last night. Eventually they will learn to relax (I hope) so that we all are finally able to catch some much-needed Z’s.
Stay tuned: Soon I hope to begin babbling, which is way better than cooing. All the cool babies are doing it. See - I’ve been working on my raspberries.
I'm also having a blast playing with my toys!

This is sooo darn adorable. Lizzie has really found her voice :) Get the videos fixed, please!!
ReplyDeleteI tried reloading them but it isn't working. I'll have more soon or maybe you should come see her more often. She changes everyday so you might have to move.
